Ben O’Brien is a landscape designer in Prince Edward County. He is a two-time winner of the bursary and is a member of the Ameliasburgh Garden Club. Ben was commissioned by the Club to create a memorial garden in front of the historic town hall in memory of local garden designer and nurseryman Drew MacCandlish who passed away in 2014. Using local, long- blooming, drought-tolerant plants and reclaimed stone from an old well on the grounds, the garden links beautifully with the stone facade of the hall. Thanks to the ongoing work of the Ameliasburgh Garden Club, the garden continues to thrive.
